Scott was born and grew up in the state of Washington. He Graduated in 1980 from Evergreen High School in Vancouver Washington, where he was also an assistant wrestling coach. Thereafter, he attended Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon and took up wrestling for two seasons, wrestling in the 118lb. and 126lb. divisions. He then transferred to Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington, where he wrestled 2 years and coached 1 season for the Mascot Eagles. He graduated in 1985 with a Bachelors degree in Speech Communication and Education and began teaching and coaching in the Evergreen School District before he left for Orange County, California in the fall of 1988. There, he spent two years as Head Coach at Marina High School in Huntington Beach. In the fall of 1990, he took his teaching and coaching skills to Santa Ana High School at a time when the sport was struggling dismally to gain the respect of the Orange County Wrestling community. However, while studying at California State University Long Beach to earn a second degree in English Literature and a California Teaching Credential, he guided, the Saints to their first league Championship in 1993 - a Santa Ana High historical feat - then to a further nineteen straight league titles. - By 1996, Glabb’s team had won the CIF (California Inter-scholastic Federation) DIV. III team championships and went on to capture the 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2003 CIF Team and Dual Meet Titles. In 2007, 2008 & 2010 The Saints won 3 more CIF Dual Meet Championships..thus totaling 12 CIF titles for the wrestling program. The highlight of Glabb’s coaching tenure was when the team placed 4th in the California State Championships in 1999.

He has, to date, compiled an overall record of 343 wins and 61 losses. He has coached 28 individual CIF champions, 54 state qualifiers and 16 state place winners. Aside from these accomplishments, he is extremely proud of two National Championship wrestlers he has coached Tony Perez who wrestled at 103lbs in 1998 and Jose Leon at 112lbs in 1999. Glabb is currently a member of the Orange County Wrestling Coaches Association and the National High School Coaches Association. He won the Orange County Register’s Wrestling “Coach of the Year” Award in 1996 and 1998, the LA Times “Coach of the Year” in 1996, and the National Wrestling Coaches Association “California State Wrestling Coach of the Year” in 1999. He was also the recipient of the California Coaches Association state wrestling coach of the year award in 2007. He is also involved with the Campus Ministry “Fellowship of Christian Athletes” and was honored as the FCA “John Wooden” Southern California Coach of the Year in 2003. In May 2004 Glabb was presented the “Coaches & Spouse Influence Award” by the Coaches of Influence Christian Ministry and was presented the Community Recognition Award by the city of Santa Ana Parks and Recreation Board.

In 2010 Glabb published a book called " A Saint in the City." It is the story of the individual journeys of a young coach who had been battling depression ... and his wrestlers who overcame various challenges of their own to find redemption in wrestling, and for their lives beyond the mat.
