On December 24th 2008 Santa Ana Wrestling’s beloved friend, Larry Lopez, passed away from complications with diabetes.
Larry had volunteered for the Saint's wrestling program since 1998. He was always faithful and committed to helping the Saints whenever necessary. He could always be counted on when he was needed. He showed up early and was one of the last volunteers to leave at the end of any of our events the wrestling team hosted. He was a vital part in the success of the Saint's wrestling program.
Don't ever forget Larry. He wanted to make everyone happy. So let us remember how he touched our lives. How he made us laugh and how good Larry was as a person.
The coaches, wrestlers and fans of Santa Ana High School Wrestling are thankful that we were given the chance to have known a man named Larry Lopez. Larry will forever be missed but I know in the right time, we will meet Larry again and he'll make us laugh and cheer us up like he always did.
Larry is survived by brothers Eddie Lopez and Joe Rodriquez; sisters, Ofelia (Gene) Mendiola and Carol Lopez.
