Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a Ministry
based out of Kansas City, MO. Its mission is to present to Coaches and
Athletes the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Lord
And Savior. The Saint Wrestlers Highlight each year is when they attend
the FCA Wrestling camp during June in Thousand Oaks Ca. Since 1992, over
500 Santa Ana Wrestlers have attended FCA camps and have walked away
understanding the importance of living a lifestyle of integrity as well
as knowing what a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is all about.
Not only that, they also gain some fine technical wrestling skills from
coaches throughout Southern California. FCA Ministries has definitely
been a contributing factor to the yearly individual and team success of
Santa Ana High School Wrestling. Photos below where taken at the 2007
summer FCA Camp in UC Santa Barbara. Coach Jose Campos of Mt Carmel H.S.
in San Diego is the camp clinician and has proven to be a Godly man. He
has made an influential impact on these young men as a Christian and a
Coach. Our huddles (bible studies) meet ever Monday throughout the
school year during lunch time. All meetings are held in the wrestling
room. Tony Gomez (former state and national high school champion
wrestler) and Jerry Lafortenza (youth minister at Santa Ana 1st Baptist
Church) organize and lead the Santa Ana Huddle along with school faculty
members Cree McCook, Tim Byers, Jose Leon and Scott Glabb.
If you'd like to be a guest speaker or just join us for a meeting please
